Real
people deal with real problems
You can ask txtM8 any question relating to sex,
sexuality, sexual health or relationships. Whether you
want advice on contraception, need local information on
where to get free condoms, you are worried about
pregnancy or need advice about sexually transmitted
infections (STIs).
txtM8 is not an automated service, it is fully
interactive and live. Real people read your texts and
will give clear, unbiased answers and provide you with
up to date information and advice. txtM8 advisers have
access to national databases so they can give you
up-to-date locations and opening times of clinics and
other useful services near you. They can also provide
the telephone numbers of useful national helplines (see ‘WHERE
TO GET HELP' for more information).
To help advisers give you the best advice possible and
direct you to local services they may ask for more
information such as your postcode or the town where you
live. However, all the information you give to txtM8 is
completely confidential and will only be used to advise
you, internal training and improving the service. It
will not be passed to other organisations or third
parties that are not directly connected with txtM8.
The information and advice txtM8 advisers give you in a
text reply is based on what you have asked or told them
and the most current information available. All advice
and information is provided in goodwill with the aim of
enhancing the texter's ability to make more informed
decisions. txtM8 is not responsible for any action taken
following advice given in a text reply.

Free condoms
If you are
sexually active condoms are a great way of protecting yourself, and
others, from pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections such as
chlamydia. If you're between 13 and 25 there are a number of places
where you'll be able to get free condoms locally. To find out where
text txtm8 on 89868 or call one of the numbers listed on the
WHERE TO GET HELP
page.
